And they’re off! In a country caught up in Spring Racing Carnival fever, seems every which way you turn there’s a kaleidoscope of fascinators, frou frous, fashions on the field and a fair share of scary fashion faux pas assaulting the eyes.

But bad hats, bad do’s and “what were they thinking, don’t they own a mirror” looks aside, the wonderful thing about this time of year is that gals and guys alike take the trouble to dress up like a dog’s dinner and celebrate their very own sense of style – whatever that may be. And that can only be a good thing.
