Most people hate change. Some find it stressful, some are scared out of their wits by it, many resist it, few embrace it.
Change doesn’t just move people out of their comfort zone – it gives them the kind of shove. But comfort zones aren’t conducive to growth. Sometimes you just have to get uncomfortable on purpose if you want to move forward.
It’s an inescapable truth (if unpalatable for some) that change is the only constant. Stubbornly hanging on to “the way we’ve always done things” propels you in an entirely different direction – backwards.

If we’re to believe what the researchers and statisticians tell us, Australians now work the longest hours in the Western World. What ever happened to that laid back Aussie lifestyle and living the dream? A thousand years on and we’re working more than medieval peasants did – is it just me, or is something wrong with that picture?
And it’s not just about the work hours. We’re all so caught up in consumerism and our relentless work/spend cycle that couples spend on average only 12 minutes a day talking to each other, 40 minutes a week playing with their kids, and … shock, horror, we’re having less sex. Now that’s a world totally out of whack.
