Pay it forward. If ever there were three words (apart from “I love you”) with the power to make a huge difference in this world – it’s those.

Most people automatically associate the concept with the book by Catherine Hyde or movie of the same name, but the idea of having a good turn repaid by having it done to others instead, first emerged centuries ago.

The phrasing may have changed throughout the ages as the principle of reciprocity emerged in the teachings of countless religions and in the philosophies of ancient civilisations from Babylon to Egypt to Greece to China and on to the modern world. But the words “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” pretty much sum it up.

Five Reasons Laughter is a Lifesaver

Some statistics make you wonder, some of them really make you laugh, and then there are some that really get you thinking.  Like this one…

Did you know that children laugh on average 300-400 times a day*, but by the time we become adults that rate apparently plummets to a pathetic 8-15 times per diem. Doesn’t that rip the fork out of your nightie?

What a sad indictment of today’s society that we can find so little to laugh about.  I mean come on chucklers, if babies can laugh before they can manage to say Mum-mum or goo-goo, how is that a fully-grown adult can’t even summon up a giggle at least once an hour?

Seems we all need to get up to more funny business.

It’s a real lottery and unfortunately the numbers applying for a job are usually in inverse proportion to the star candidates with the qualities you need to make you, your team and your business better. Otherwise, why are you paying them?

Personal spin has become an art form these days and resumes lie. Overblown resume claims are in plague proportions in the job market and frustratingly in my experience, a significant number of them are nothing less than big fat porkies.
